KDWhitfield: My name is Kevin I’m a current student at Kaplan University. Aside form my work as a Program Director/ instructor; I’m also a massage therapist (19 yrs) working with human, canine and equine athletes. Along with massage I am also a personal trainer (10 yrs). My time away from the stress of work is spent with friends, family and my horse. Having the opportunity to hike/trek the outdoors is a welcomed escape from my daily hustle. This Blog is apart of my class assignment, but I would like to use it for the sharing of thoughts, and mental notes that can aid in the development of ones spirit and mind, but not forgetting about the body. The reason for the name of Mentalscape; when I take time to relax my mind I think of landscapes, or waterscapes. I chose pictures or music to paint the scene; I use different mediums to put my mind in a relaxing state, so this being a spot for words and ideas...I thought it would fit.
